Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Blue Arrow. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food service and hospitality to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, ensuring that all dishes are presented to a high level of quality.
  • Kitchen Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Serving Customers: Provide excellent customer service, taking orders and operating the till with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Restocking and Inventory Management: Restock fridges and ensure that all stock is stored correctly and safely.
  • Support with Deliveries: Assist with deliveries and ensure that all stock is stored correctly and safely.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess great people skills, excellent organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure all equipment and personal working area is clean and in good working order.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive can-do attitude.
  • Team Player: Ultimately a team player, with a reliable and caring attitude.
  • Reliability and Punctuality: Reliable and punctual, sometimes at short notice.
  • Good Literacy and Numeracy: Possess a good standard of literacy and numeracy.

Working Conditions:

  • Contract Catering: Work in a contract catering environment, providing food and beverage services to clients.
  • Varied Shifts: Work a variety of shifts, including day shifts, Monday to Friday, and some weekends.
  • Immediate Start: Available for an immediate start, with the opportunity to join our team quickly.

Compensation:

  • Competitive Rate: £12.50 per hour, a competitive rate for the industry.
