The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Clearwell Castle. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, supporting our chefs and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food and service to our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain the kitchen to the highest standards, ensuring it is ready for the next day's service.
  • Maintain the food storage areas, including freezers and refrigerators, to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Receive and organize deliveries, ensuring that all food and supplies are stored and prepared for use.
  • Wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and equipment, and load them into the dishwasher as needed.
  • Remove kitchen waste and dispose of it properly, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Clean and maintain cooking equipment, including cookers, pots, and food mixers, to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Support the Chef in basic food preparation, such as cutting ingredients, peeling, and washing food items.
  • Provide assistance to chefs and kitchen staff as needed, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
