About the Role
The Security Officer will be responsible for creating a safe environment, protecting colleagues and customer's property, people, and assets by providing exemplary security operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Make presence visible and report to duty post properly kitted.
- Monitor premises to ensure absence of intruders or criminals.
- Keep daily record of activities within premises, especially activities that pose security threat.
- Welcome visitors and screen them to ensure they do not enter premises with prohibited items or weapons.
- Prevent visitors from straying into prohibited areas within premises.
- Check facilities to ensure they are secure and make sure windows, doors, and gates are properly locked after work hours.
- Create a positive, professional relationship with customers and colleagues.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and ensure any breaches are reported.
- Work as part of a team and on your own depending on site requirements.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with previous security experience, a valid front-line security guarding, door supervision or close protection SIA license, knowledge and experience with security systems and other related tech, great attention to detail and a consistent approach, and a team player with good customer service skills.
