About the Role

Rontec Roadside Retail Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to join our team. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of our Morrisons Branded Forecourt sites within our Roadside Retail Network in Huddersfield and the surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure that your area of sites consistently meet company standards and those of our brand partners, including passing auditing processes.
  • Sales and Profitability: Drive shop sales and site profitability, prioritizing compliance issues to ensure essential legal compliance and adherence to company procedures.
  • Business Development: Identify business opportunities on potential new stores and existing store developments, analyzing overall sales, audits, performance, and customer service standards to identify potential for improvement.
  • Store Opening and Operation: Responsible for the successful opening and operation of new or re-furbished stores in the Area, ensuring sufficient control reporting to deliver performance improvements.
  • Time Management and Leadership: Prioritize your time to meet the varying requirements of each store and operator on your area, completing business reviews with operators and assisting them in identifying risk and potential within their business.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise between various company departments to ensure consistent store operational standards and presentation.
Requirements
  • A Level educated or equivalent combined with at least two years store retail management experience.
  • Attention to detail and a strong focus on customer service.
  • Strong customer focus - able to see what the customer can see.
  • An enabling leadership style - able to develop and mentor others and lead by example.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work smart.
  • Ability to analyze a problem and implement the best possible solution.
  • Drive, motivation, and willingness to challenge yourself and others.
  • Flexibility and availability to meet the demands expected from an open-all-hours business.
