Senior Fellow in Adult Critical Care Transfer Medicine

We are seeking an experienced intensive care doctor to join our team as a Senior Fellow in Adult Critical Care Transfer Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the UK's most developed critical care transfer services, providing adult critical care transfers and gaining valuable experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics and transfer of critical ill patients between critical care units and for emergency escalation to tertiary referral centres.
- Development of clinical and non-clinical skills working in frequently changing teams.
- Opportunity to participate and develop critical care transfer training, including simulation in our brand new simulation suite.
- Option to join the paediatric team to understand the paediatric retrieval service.
- Opportunity to develop management skills, developing governance for the service.

Person Specification:
- Full GMC registration.
- Completion of stage 1 ICM training or overseas equivalent (at least 12 months).
- ALS.
- Completion of stage 2 and/or 3 ICM training or international equivalent.
- FFICM.
- Prior experience in transfer of the critically ill, completion of a transfer training course.
Teaching, Research, and Management:
- Evidence of teaching at an undergraduate or postgraduate level.
- Certification Course/Diploma/Masters in Medical Education.
- Understanding of research methodology.
- Medical publications or a background of research activity.
- Understanding of the NHS, its strategy and current issues.
- Management training.
- Clear, fluent and articulate in verbal and written presentation.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
