Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew's Hospital: The City of London's only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew's NHS hospital. This is our flagship centre for cardiac services and we also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including: oncology, general surgery, gynaecology and urology services.
The new hospital consists of:
- 48 inpatient and day case bedrooms
- 28 consultation rooms
- Three digital operating theatres
- Cardiac catheterisation lab
- Specialist intensive care beds
- Oncology day unit
- Endoscopy and minor ops theatre
- Full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray
As a Surgical Care Practitioner at Nuffield Health
You will be part of a team that provides high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. You will work collaboratively alongside consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals and, of course, patients. Working alongside the Cardiothoracic Surgeons, the Surgical Care Practitioner will participate in operative procedures and aspects of pre, intra and post-operative care of surgical patients.
The Surgical Care Practitioner will be able to provide skilled and consistent assistance in all aspects of elective and emergency adult cardiac and thoracic surgery. The post holder will demonstrate extensive expertise in endoscopic conduit harvesting – both vein and radial artery.
