Are you a motivated and enthusiastic individual looking to make a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking an exceptional Crisis Triage Specialist to join our team at Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health, with excellent communication skills and the ability to assess and signpost individuals to the most appropriate pathway/service. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment teams to support the urgent triage function for service users across Cumbria, Northumberland, and Tyne and Wear.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Undertake urgent telephone triages to assess the level of response urgency and support referrals to the most appropriate service.
  • Use excellent communication skills to engage, risk assess, and manage identified clinical needs and associated risks.
  • Liaise with locality CRHTs when a service user requires a face-to-face crisis assessment, ensuring a robust handover regarding the service user's clinical presentation and associated risks.

We are committed to providing high-quality care to our patients and strive to create a supportive and inclusive work environment. The salary for this position is £39,354 - £46,585 per annum.
