We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Graduate to work as a Learning Support Assistant, supporting children with additional needs in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) School. This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate looking to gain experience before pursuing a career as a Speech and Language Therapist.

About the Role

You will be working closely with qualified Speech and Language Therapists (SALT), delivering interventions to children with speech, language, and communication needs. You will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of the children, gaining vital experience that will enable you to kick-start your future career as a Speech and Language Therapist.

About the School

The school is located near Epsom and caters to children aged 4-19 who require a specialised curriculum to reach their full potential. The school has a Therapy Department consisting of Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists.

This role provides an opportunity to work closely with other teams of professionals, gaining relevant experience, expanding your knowledge and skillset.

Responsibilities
  • SUPPORTING CHILDREN WITH ADDITIONAL NEEDS: Work in partnership with teaching staff and support staff to deliver specific interventions that aim to boost students' language acquisition.
  • DELIVERING INTERVENTIONS: Deliver interventions to children with speech, language, and communication needs both in small groups and one-to-one settings.
Requirements

No previous experience is required, but a Psychology, Criminology, or Social Science degree is highly valued.

  • Competitive Salary: £90-110 per day, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:00, term time only.
