About the Role

At GSF Car Parts, a dynamic Retail Assistant will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service. This multifaceted role is critical to achieving branch and individual targets through face-to-face sales, servicing click and collect orders, and fostering strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Serving trade and retail customers for click and collect and general orders while maximizing sales opportunities.
  2. Picking relevant parts from the warehouse to fulfill customer orders.
  3. Assisting the sales team with sales promotions by answering telephone queries and handling electronic inquiries as needed.
  4. Fully satisfying customer needs regarding part orders, returns, or queries.
  5. Inspecting customer returns for resale, warranty, or surcharge.
  6. Contributing to a positive team performance while working on personal benchmarks to optimize personal performance and drive sales of product promotions.
  7. Utilizing the E-learning portal to develop product knowledge and improve performance.
  8. Maintaining clean and tidy customer-facing areas of the branch.
  9. Developing strong working relationships with customers and understanding their garage needs.
  10. Promoting a good image of the company by representing its values and maintaining a professional appearance.
  11. Working towards achieving relevant set KPIs.


Working Hours:(average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working

About You

Requirements for Success:
  1. Proven customer service or sales/retail experience in a customer-facing role.
  2. Target-driven and motivated to achieve results.
  3. Excellent customer service skills.
  4. Able to adopt a positive approach to customer queries, proactively seeking resolutions.
  5. Confident user of IT and computer systems.
  6. Ability to work well with others.
  7. Excellent attention to detail.
  8. Knowledge of car parts or the automotive industry is advantageous but not essential.
  9. Knowledge of MAM, Allicat, MS Office is desirable.
