Structural Dynamics Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at Permanent Futures. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying your expertise in digital tools to drive innovation and efficiency in our building projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural mechanics and analysis, with experience in using programming languages such as Python to solve complex problems. You will be comfortable working with CAD software, particularly Parametric Modelling tools like Grasshopper/Dynamo.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing structurally optimized steel and reinforced concrete building components using in-house tools and Eurocode 2/3.
- Collaborating with clients and internal teams to solve problems and provide updates on project progress.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously improve design practices and enhance construction efficiency.

Key Skills and Experience:
- Qualified to MEng degree (or BEng and Masters) in Civil/Structural engineering.
- Proven experience as a practising engineer would be a significant advantage.
- Competent in applying a programming language to solve problems (ideally in Python).
- Comfortable in using CAD software, with an emphasis on Parametric Modelling (Grasshopper/Dynamo).
- Strong background in structural mechanics/analysis, working from first principles and using Eurocodes.
