Behaviour Support Assistant

Future Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Behaviour Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide tailored support to post-16 students with ADHD, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and challenging behaviours.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have experience working with young adults in an educational setting and possess the skills necessary to manage and support students on a one-to-one basis. The role involves providing individualised support to students, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and achieving their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualised support to post-16 students with ADHD, SEMH needs, and challenging behaviour.
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their academic goals.
- Support the emotional and social development of students, promoting self-esteem and confidence.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Attend relevant training sessions and professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and confidentiality.
- Experience supporting children within the classroom working in a similar post such as a Behaviour LSA or SEN TA/Behaviour Mentor/Teaching Assistant.
- Experience working with students with ADHD, SEMH needs, and challenging behaviour, preferably in a post-16 educational setting.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
This fixed-term contract offers a competitive salary of £85 to £110 per day, depending on experience, and a supportive work environment that prioritises student well-being.
