Job Overview
Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a diligent and caring Surgical Assistant to support our medical team. As a key player in our Operating Room, this professional will contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care, collaborating closely with surgeons and other healthcare specialists to ensure outstanding outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist in conducting surgical procedures, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Prepare patients for surgeries, ensuring accurate setup and positioning.
  • Transport patients and participate in room turnover activities to optimize resource utilization.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:
  • Possess relevant education, experience, and certifications to meet the demands of the Surgical Assistant role.
  • Be registered and licensed with the Virginia Board of Medicine.
  • Hold certifications as a Certified First Surgical Assistant from reputable organizations like NBSTSA or NCCSA.
  • Hold current AHA BLS CPR provider certification.

This role comes with an attractive salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
