About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at My Care My Home. As a Caregiver, you will provide essential care and support to elderly and vulnerable adults in their own homes, promoting their independence and wellbeing.

You will work as part of our knowledgeable and passionate team, delivering care to service users in the Caerphilly area, including Newbridge, Risca, Crumlin, Blackwood, Pontllanfraith, Crosskeys, Wattsville, and Ynysddu.

The ideal candidate will be able to work a night shift, e.g., 3.00pm-10.00pm, and will be flexible with their availability, with the option of part-time and full-time contracts. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle with 'business use' car insurance are essential for this role.

Duties include:

  1. Prompting/support with personal care and dressing.
  2. Support with light household duties, including laundry, shopping, and cleaning, meal preparation.
  3. Assisting with medication, including collecting prescriptions, prompting, or administering medication.
  4. Accompanying service users to medical appointments if needed.
  5. General companionship.

  2. A weekend Shift Allowance of £10.00 per day.
  3. Mileage allowance of 45p per mile, with the option to use a Fuel Card.
  4. Travel time allowance of £11.44 per hour for continuous calls from one service user to another.

  6. The option to be paid Weekly or Monthly.

We do not require any formal qualifications or previous experience in the care sector, as full training and support will be provided. An enhanced DBS check will be conducted as part of the pre-employment process.
