Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to support students with autism in an inclusive primary school setting.

About the Role:
  • Deliver phonics interventions to students with autism, utilizing evidence-based strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Support students with additional needs, fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Teach phonics skills to students with autism, employing effective methods and adapting to individual learning styles.
  2. Assist the teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that cater to diverse student needs.
  3. Maintain accurate records of student progress, reporting on achievements and areas for improvement.
  4. Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Education, Special Educational Needs, or related field.
  • Experience working with students with autism and/or special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
Salary:

□ £80-£100 per day (dependent on experience)
