About the Role

The Assistant Fire Engineer will be a key member of our Cladding Remediation Team, responsible for reviewing and assessing fire safety defects in medium and high-rise buildings across our portfolio. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of fire engineering principles and be able to apply performance-based designs to the construction of buildings.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Fire Engineer will be responsible for:

  1. Supporting the development of remedial works fire engineering strategies and effective solutions for our cladding and building safety remediation projects.
  2. Assisting with the review of Type 1 and Type 2 Fire Risk Assessments, FRAEWs, and EWS1 assessments.
  3. Providing fire engineering guidance and support for the Group Technical function in consideration of our new home portfolio, details, and specifications.
  4. Supporting the cladding remediation team when assessing remediation proposals and risk management to ensure successful outcomes.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a degree in a fire-related subject and be a member of the Institute of Fire Engineers or other relevant professional organisation. They will also have a solid understanding of fire engineering principles and be able to apply performance-based designs to the construction of buildings.
