Claims Handler

We are seeking a skilled Claims Handler to join our Transportation team based in Birmingham or Northampton. As a Claims Handler, you will play a crucial role in proactively managing caseloads of highway claims through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a caseload of highway claims from start to finish, compiling reports, reviewing evidence, assessing liability, and communicating decisions to claimants.
- Negotiate claims settlements within agreed authority levels.
- Maintain accurate claim records within the reporting system.
- Control input from loss adjusters on cases they are instructed to handle.
- Build strong and collaborative relationships with our clients.
- Claims handling experience is essential for this role.
- A logical approach to problem-solving, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy.
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels and feel comfortable training junior members of staff.
