**Role Summary:** As an SEN Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children with Autism. This role requires a compassionate and patient individual who can provide tailored support and promote social interaction and inclusion.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support children with Autism in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans (IEPs) to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Provide support for children with communication challenges, promoting social interaction and inclusion.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a safe, positive, and structured learning environment.
  • Encourage students to engage with the curriculum, providing support where necessary.
  • Assist with personal care and other needs where required.

**Ideal Candidate Profile:**

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a SEN setting or with Autism.
  • A genuine passion for helping children with Autism and supporting their development.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and positive manner.
  • The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff members.
  • An enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one.
