About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Human Factors Specialist to join our team at Outsource UK Limited. As a Human Factors Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the TRINITY programme by assisting the Lead HFI Specialist in delivering User-Centred Design activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess Commercial-Off-The-Shelf equipment against system requirements and user needs
  • Engage with users to understand their goals and tasks
  • Conduct detailed analyses to understand cognitive workload and human error
  • Anthropometric assessment and workspace/workstation design
  • Work with other engineering functions and disciplines to support their tasks
Requirements
  • A recognised degree or equivalent qualification in Human Factors, Ergonomics or Psychology
  • Registered membership of the Chartered Institute of Human Factors (or eligibility for CIEHF Chartership via an equivalent body)
  • At least five years' experience of applying Human Factors methods in defence or safety-critical industry
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team on complex system integration and development projects
