About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physical Intervention Tutor to join our team at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a Physical Intervention Tutor, you will play a crucial role in providing expert guidance and support to our clinical staff, helping to create care plans that prioritize patient safety and staff well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on de-escalation techniques, physical interventions, and restraint techniques to staff across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Operational Security team to ensure seamless integration of security protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct data collection, evaluation, and course administration for training programs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clinical staff on conflict resolution and crisis management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in physical intervention training, conflict resolution, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
