Medical Device Designer

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
Job DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing new medical device systems and accessories, driving enhancements to the existing product range, and providing support for design validation. You will also collaborate with the Operations team to manage the transfer of products to manufacturing and partner with the Quality department to conduct thorough investigations into non-conformances.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in product or systems development, with a strong focus on mechanical design for electronics systems
- High degree of proficiency with 3D modelling software and technical drawing, SolidWorks preferred
- In-depth experience with structured product development cycles
- Extensive experience in low-volume rapid prototyping technologies and high-volume manufacturing processes
- Solid understanding of practical electronics and knowledge of risk management in line with ISO 14971 and other relevant medical device standards
