About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team in schools across Selby, North Yorkshire. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to develop and implement effective learning strategies, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

  • Supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties.
  • Assisting with classroom preparation, ensuring a positive and supportive atmosphere.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to monitor students' progress and contribute to IEPs.
Key Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN in an educational setting.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting children's learning and well-being.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
