Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our team at Thornbury Community Services. As a Children's Complex Care Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide bespoke care and support to young people with complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with the client's family and other healthcare professionals to achieve personal goals and improve quality of life
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each client
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews to ensure the client's needs are being met
  • Provide education and training to the client's family and other healthcare professionals on complex care needs

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in the last 2 years in a Paediatric nursing role
  • Recent experience in key skills such as nasopharyngeal suction, mechanical cough assist, care and use of gastrostomy, and epilepsy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
