Children's Complex Care Nurse – Community Based
Location: Oxfordshire
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 07:45 to 15:45, Term time and school holidays
Pay Rates (including holiday pay)
We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our team at Thornbury Community Services. As a Children's Complex Care Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering bespoke care and support to young people, enabling them to stabilise at home and achieve personal goals, learn new hobbies, and take trips into their local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to children with complex needs
- Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet the unique needs of each child
- Work collaboratively with the child's family and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
- Conduct regular assessments and reviews to ensure the child's needs are being met
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the child's care and progress
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months' experience in the last 2 years as a Paediatric Nurse
- Recent experience in key skills such as Nasopharyngeal Suction, Mechanical Cough Assist, Care and use of gastrostomy, Change of gastrostomy – emergency only, and Epilepsy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
