About Us: Thornbury Community Services is a leading provider of bespoke care and support services for young people with complex needs.
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our team and provide high-quality care and support to a 14-year-old male with Cerebral Palsy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver bespoke care and support to young people with complex needs
- Work collaboratively with the client's family and multidisciplinary team to achieve personal goals and outcomes
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the client's needs
- Provide education and training to the client and their family on complex care skills and techniques
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new care initiatives and programs
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months' experience in the last 2 years in Paediatric Nursing
- Recent experience in key skills such as Nasopharyngeal Suction, Mechanical Cough Assist, and Care and use of gastrostomy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
