Job Overview

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager / Senior Engineer to manage several Ground Investigation Contracts from initial contract award through to successful completion.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Responsibility for managing projects including programming, resourcing, procurement and close liaison with suppliers and clients.
  • Health and Safety Planning: Preparation of Construction phase health and safety plans and all documentation for the execution of the works.
  • Investigation Team Management: Ongoing communication and management of the investigation team through fieldwork to ensure technical, commercial, quality and safety compliance.
  • Reporting and Valuations: All aspects of factual reporting, from processing and management of field data to final report, and management of key delivery dates of post fieldwork stages.
  • Mentoring and On-Site Training: Mentoring and on-site training for engineers, with strong technical skills particularly in relation to soils / rock logging, report writing and compliance.
  • Commercial Management: Commercial experience to manage budgets and commercial life cycle for each ground investigation, with demonstrable experience of working in the Ground Investigation sector site supervision and management and all aspects of contract management.


Requirements:

  • Experience: Demonstrable experience of working in the Ground Investigation sector site supervision and management and all aspects of contract management, in accordance with best working practices and standards.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills particularly in relation to soils / rock logging, report writing and compliance, with good IT skills including geotechnical databases.
  • Commercial Skills: Commercial experience to manage budgets and commercial life cycle for each ground investigation.
  • Personal Qualities: A motivated, enthusiastic and driven individual with a passion for Engineering, Geology and high-quality delivery, with a full UK driving license.


Remuneration:

The role offers a very competitive package, including paid overtime, and represents a fantastic opportunity for the right candidates, with potential annual earnings between 44K - 48K OTE, dependent on experience.
