We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Mane Contract Services.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality engineering and assurance, with a strong background in electronics-based product manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and manage inspection and certification control plans to ensure consistency with business and customer requirements.
- Support the Project Management team with contract reviews, providing expert advice on quality-related matters.
- Lead APQP requirements, including PPAP and FAIRs, to meet customer expectations.
- Assist with in-process production part approval through visual and dimensional inspection, ensuring products meet quality standards.
- Support final inspection of completed components or assemblies, including sign-off, to guarantee quality and reliability.
- Provide manufacturing support to production areas in relation to quality issues, helping to resolve problems efficiently.
- Evaluate measurement systems to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Actively support the business in maintaining ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, conducting internal audits and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Previous experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in an electronics-based product manufacturing environment.
- In-depth understanding of technical documentation, including Engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with Defence Standards, IPC-A-610/IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards, and lean methodologies such as 5S and Poka Yoke.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports and documentation.
- A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
