Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Window and Door Multi-Point Locking Systems

Area to be covered: East Midlands and East Anglia
Remuneration: £45,000-£50,000 neg. + £5,000-£10,000 Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Window and Door Multi-Point Locking Systems will involve:
- Field sales position selling high-end manufactured range of multi-point locking systems for windows and doors.
- Focus of the role to sell into and manage relationships with window and door fabricators of composite, aluminium, PVC, composite fire doors, and timber fire doors.
- Inheriting an established customer base, you will be responsible for £2.5m-£3m revenue and expected to manage the distribution network efficiently.
- Tasked with recruiting a minimum of three new commercial accounts per annum, each contributing a minimum of £50,000 at an acceptable margin.
- Three/Four days on the road, remainder of time home based/admin.
- Targeted sectors include composite and timber fire doors, the retail and trade sectors, new build, and alluvium fabricators.
- Smaller element of the role will be winning specifications with architects, local authorities, M&E contractors, and main contractors.
- This area has only come about because of an internal promotion.
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Window and Door Multi-Point Locking Systems with:
- Window and door hardware field sales experience from within the construction industry.
- Must have sold to window and door fabricators of composite, aluminium, PVC, composite fire doors, or timber fire doors.
- Ability to hit the ground running.
- Doors/doorsets or door hardware field sales experience.
- Would also consider fire door specification field sales with architects and architectural ironmongers.
- GAI or FRID (fire door inspector qualification) may be advantageous.
- Must be comfortable with technical regulations/legislation around internal timber fire door locking systems.
- Consultative in approach.
- Network of contacts within composite or timber door fabrications is not essential.
- Must be a solution sales person, not someone that sells on price.
- Autonomous in nature.
- Comfortable with monthly reporting and diary planning.
- Self-motivated, communicative, relationship builder with strong negotiation skills.
