Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Sheltered Scheme Manager to work on a temporary basis in the St Helens area. This role is critical in assisting tenants to manage safely at home and promoting independent living.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assist in the letting process and conduct viewings of properties with applicants while highlighting the benefits of sheltered housing.
  • Deliver a case management approach that assists tenants to manage their homes safely.
  • Conduct daily wellbeing calls and checks based on assessed risk to promote independence and respond to emergency calls via the emergency system when on duty.
  • Ensure the safety of the schemes by carrying out routine Health and Safety inspections and weekly fire alarm tests.
  • Manage the use of communal areas, including monitoring communal cleaning.
  • Assist residents with reporting repairs and report urgent and non-urgent communal repairs, liaising with contractors.
  • Liaise with external repair, maintenance, and service contractors to monitor the quality of completed works.
  • Work collaboratively and build relationships of trust and respect with internal and external partners to promote independent living.
  • Promote the safety and protection of vulnerable adults and children by ensuring that all safeguarding issues and concerns are reported promptly in accordance with Local Authorities and Safeguarding Policies.

  • A proactive, professional, commercial, and resilient approach, able to work well at pace and produce innovative solutions.
  • Experience of working with statutory agencies and the voluntary sector.
  • The skills to manage relationships with tenants, including challenging non-compliance.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £33,505. Enhanced DBS is required for this position.
