Senior Paediatric Care Specialist
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Senior Paediatric Care Specialist to join our team at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Paediatric Continence Service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to children and families with bladder and bowel conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist nursing staff with procedures, patient care, and clinical assessments, maintaining privacy and dignity.
- Coordinate and support toilet training, bladder scanning, and urinalysis for children and young people.
- Support the continence team in managing Nocturnal Enuresis treatments, including alarm therapy.
- Undertake continence product assessments with nursing staff and provide relevant advice to patients and families.
- NNEB/NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development or equivalent.
- Educated to GSCE level in Maths or English or equivalent qualification or relevant experience in a Health Care Setting.
- Diploma or equivalent appropriate qualification, e.g., foundation degree, or NVQ3 Level qual or relevant experience equivalent to diploma level.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £27,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including access to training and development opportunities.
