Job Description

We are seeking a talented Software Test Engineer to join our team at Waters Corporation. As a key member of our cross-discipline agile team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality software solutions.

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with our team to ensure that our software meets the highest standards of quality and functionality. This will involve creating test cases from customer requirements, ensuring that our test approach is appropriate for each project or task, and performing manual/exploratory tests on early-stage code.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software increments
  • Create test cases based on customer requirements
  • Develop and implement effective test approaches for projects and tasks
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing on early-stage code
  • Contribute to the definition of executable specifications written in Gherkin
  • Participate in usability, functional, performance, exploratory, and acceptance testing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in software testing, including planning, estimating, and scheduling of testing activities
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable communicating with stakeholders to capture requirements, feedback, and track bugs

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including hybrid working, a competitive pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development and growth.

Working Pattern and Location

This role is based at our Wilmslow office, and we require candidates to be within a reasonable commutable distance.
