Overview

A great opportunity to work within the Waters Quality department and across the organisation, with a focus on improving the quality of products received and shipped to ensure continual improvement of processes, thus helping reduce defects and issues. Our ideal candidate will have a proven knowledge of ISO 9001, experience in ISO 13485 and 21 CFR part 820, and a demonstrated practical approach towards problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Quality Engineering through product lifecycle management to help ensure product manufacturability, reliability and cost effectiveness.
  • Support activities related to the QMS including CAPA, NCRs, MRB, deviations etc.
  • Perform external (supplier) audits.
  • Attend regular communication with cross-functional teams to identify root cause of problems and create plans for short term and long-term remediation.
  • Represent supplier quality for new product development activities, supports supplier performance assessment process and prioritises actions to address adverse trends.
  • Identify new, or changes to existing, processes and systems to improve effectivity and efficiency of the Quality system in accordance with the requirements of: ISO 9001; ISO 13485; 21 CFR part 820.

Qualifications

A qualification in an Engineering / Science subject or relevant experience in an Engineering / Science related function is required.

Experience

  • Proven knowledge of ISO 9001, experience in ISO 13485 and 21 CFR part 820 desired.
  • Demonstrated practical approach towards problem solving.
  • Good understanding of supplier quality.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.

Competencies

  • Good written and oral communication skills are required, for example to ensure succinct report generation, effective communication with staff, peer groups, etc across organisation.
  • Must be able to work independently and communicate with all levels of the organisation.
  • Computer literate - knowledge of Word, Powerpoint and Excel an advantage - in order to produce reports, analyse data etc effectively.

Travel

Travel may be required to support Supplier visits and audits.
