Job Title: Deputy Manager in Care Home

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at a leading care home in Houghton-le-Spring, Tyne & Wear. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest possible standards of care and enhancing the resident experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and inspire the team to deliver exceptional care and promote choice and independence for residents.
  • Achieve the highest possible standards of care and ensure that all company policies, regulations, and care plans are adhered to.
  • Work with the Home Manager to implement care home policies and develop an excellent reputation.
  • Develop personal contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors to enhance the residents' quality of life.
  • Deputise in the overall management of the care home, including production of reports, budgets, and Quality of Life monitoring.
  • Take responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and others, including colleagues, residents, and visitors to the Home.
  • Ensure that the team attends training days and courses to maintain learning records and individual development.
Requirements:
  • Experience of managing a team and ensuring all staff are supervised appropriately.
  • Experienced in quality and clinical governance programmes, including audit and care services.
  • Able to support and guide others in line with the NMC Code.
  • Driven and motivated, with a commitment to quality care.
  • An energetic, committed, and approachable manager.
  • An inspiring leader who can motivate teams through passion and commitment.
  • A natural networker with internal and external stakeholders.
