The University of Edinburgh is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residence Life Community Coordinator to join our award-winning team. As a key member of our Residence Life team, you will be responsible for ensuring the properties and community for which you are co-responsible are appropriately resourced, managed, supported and working to meet the objectives set out by the Residence Life team.
About the Role:
This is a full-time (35 hours per week), open-ended, live-in role that requires a passionate Higher Education professional with experience in student support. You will work closely with our Resident Assistants and student residents to provide advice, guidance and support, and ensure they have appropriate opportunities and support.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide line and performance management experience of individuals and teams
- Develop and implement community building and event planning strategies
- Offer advice, guidance and support to students and staff
- Work flexible hours for welfare issues and crisis management support
- Collaborate with the Residence Life team to achieve shared objectives
Requirements:
- Proven experience in student support and community building
- Strong team player with ability to work independently and use initiative when required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
