Housekeeper Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Spire Norwich Hospital. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality housekeeping service to all departments and cleaning areas within the hospital as designated by the Service Manager.

This is a bank contract role, which means you will work on a flexible basis to cover sickness, annual leave, or additional staff needs. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the hospital is clean and safe for patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure patient rooms are ready for admissions
  • Service in-patient rooms daily
  • Clean departments and public areas
  • Comply with daily and weekly cleaning schedules
  • Be flexible and accommodate changes as necessary
  • Assist nursing staff to ensure patient rooms are ready for admission
  • Support other team members with occasional supervision of less experienced staff

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in hospitality and/or housekeeping is desirable but not essential
  • No formal qualifications are required, and full training will be provided
  • Good knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety regulations would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate well with staff and patients
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Capable of working on own initiative and with a methodical approach to work
