About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team at Northwick Park Hospital. As a key member of our medicines management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of pharmacy technicians and assistants to provide a highly efficient medicines management service to various wards.

Main Duties:

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a safe, efficient, and cost-effective use of medicines at ward level. This will involve supporting the provision and expansion of the medicines management pharmacy technician service across Northwick Park Hospital. You will also be expected to work closely with the Principal Pharmacy Technician- Clinical Services to develop and implement all training packs and policies related to medicines management.

  • Provision of a highly efficient medicines management service to various wards within the Acute/ED, Medicine, Surgical, Care of the Elderly and Women's and Children's departments">
  • Promotion of a safe, efficient, and cost-effective use of medicines at ward level">
  • Supporting the provision and expansion of the medicines management pharmacy technician service across Northwick Park Hospital">
  • Development and implementation of all training packs and policies related to medicines management">
  • Responsible for own Continuing Professional Development and the education and training of the medicines management team">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have experience as a hospital pharmacy technician and knowledge of medicines management initiatives. You should also have experience of line management and leading teams, as well as change management and evaluating service quality.

Salary:

">

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including flexible working hours, annual leave, and professional development opportunities.
