About the Role:

iDPP is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team for a network implementation project for a large, regulated construction environment. You will work for our organisation on a project with a renowned international energy company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with site safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring expenditures are within the approved budget.
  • Measure, submit and agree variations, loss & expense and/or compensation events in accordance with contractual provisions to facilitate prompt agreement of final accounts.
  • Attending contract review meetings.
  • Preparing and issuing contractual notices to sub-contractors.
Critical Success Factors:
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Precise cost estimation and diligent financial tracking to prevent budget overruns.
  • Effective Communication: Clear coordination with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Anticipating and addressing potential cost and procurement issues before they impact the project timeline or budget.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Maintaining strict adherence to site safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure project compliance and safety.
Requirements:
  • Educated to a Degree level in Quantity Surveying or Building Services Engineering discipline.
  • Experience of NEC contracts.
  • Demonstrable experience in a quantity surveyor role within with evidence of commercial management success.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with proven experience in resolving difficult or disputed accounts to finality.
  • Experience of Financial and Contract Management software packages (desirable).

  • Flexible approach to managing workload with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Has a passion and interest in emerging technologies within the Energy Market and supporting the drive to Net Zero.
  • Good negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft software packages including, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
