Job Overview

The Cost Controller Lead will play a critical role in driving financial performance and ensuring project success. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of cost controllers and providing strategic guidance on cost management practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leading a team of cost controllers to deliver high-quality cost management services.
  2. Developing and implementing cost management strategies to achieve business objectives.
  3. Collaborating with budget owners to track commitments and reconcile forecasted versus actual expenditures.
  4. Producing detailed monthly reports and short- and long-term cash flow projections.
  5. Acting as the main liaison with Parent Project Cost Controllers, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
  6. Continuously seeking process improvements, challenging the status quo to add value to ongoing projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree qualification in cost management, project management, or finance; part-qualification towards CIMA/ACCA is desirable.
  • Proven experience in cost control across projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) with working knowledge of SAP or similar systems being advantageous.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • A team player who builds strong working relationships and thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business and adapt to a culturally diverse team.
