Portfolio Cost Analysis and Reporting ManagerSSE has big ambitions to be a leading energy company in a low carbon world. We are seeking a skilled Portfolio Cost Analysis and Reporting Manager to join our Procurement and Commercial team, supporting our SSEN Transmission business in its mission to deliver a just transition to net zero in the UK.
The role will be responsible for all Portfolio Cost Analysis and Reporting activities within our Networks Transmission business, requiring advanced analytical skills and a deep understanding of cost management processes within a commercial environment.
- Champion advanced data analytics and reporting across the portfolio - this includes areas such as Portfolio Cost Reporting and Phasing, linkage of Cost and Programme data, Commodities, Trend Analysis, Accruals, Risk, etc.
- Leading on all Portfolio Cost Analysis and Reporting activities - this includes policies, procedures, reporting and analytics. Leveraging data and industry trends/benchmarks to validate data and improve accuracy.
- Providing leadership and direction for Portfolio Cost Analysis and Reporting activities along with maintaining and advancing relationships with stakeholders - ensuring alignment with P&C, Finance, Delivery, Project Services, etc.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Demonstrate experience and advanced competency in cost control, data analytics and reporting.
- Demonstrate experience and advanced competency in digital tools such as Power BI, Excel, PowerApps and Analytics Software.
- Experience in developing and maintaining industry specific construction metrics;
- Regulated industry experience and knowledge of commodity markets and their influence on project costs (preferred).
