Site HR Manager

Major Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site HR Manager to join their team in the UK. As a key member of the site leadership team, you will be responsible for providing a professional HR service to the business, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Policy Development: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company objectives and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to management on employee relations, including disciplinary procedures, grievances, and performance management.
  • Talent Management: Support the site leadership team in selecting, developing, and coaching talent to manage and deliver business objectives.
  • Business Partnership: Contribute to the development of the business and achievement of corporate objectives through active participation as a member of the management team.
  • Workforce Planning: Ensure the business has access to the appropriate skills and competencies to meet current and future needs.
  • Performance Management: Lead and support the effective use of performance management in the delivery of personal and business results.
  • Talent Review: Coordinate the talent review process and ensure development/retention plans are in place.
  • Trade Union Relations: Consult and negotiate with the trade union on all substantive aspects of terms and conditions of employment.
  • Organisational Change: Support the delivery of key organisational structure change projects.
  • HR Systems: Ensure the HR system is fully utilised and up to date.
Requirements
  • Degree level or equivalent
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law legislation
  • Proven experience in HR in an FMCG environment (preferably unionised)
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle conflicting issues
