Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Director to join our team at GLG Vets in Newport, Gwent. As part of our vibrant veterinary practice, you will provide exceptional care to animals while working in a dynamic environment. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners.
About This Role
As a Clinical Director, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, performing routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals. You will also conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries. Collaboration with veterinary nurses and support staff is crucial to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent patient care through routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments.
- Conduct surgical procedures such as spaying, neutering, and minor surgeries as required.
- Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on animal care, feeding, and wellness.
- Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is up to £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer an annual leave package, CPD allowance, and payment of professional fees.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
