Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

The Aviation Recruitment Network Limited is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for immediate hire at their Ramsgate-based operation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out site repairs and modifications on both mechanical and electrical equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical fault finding on pumps, gearboxes, lathes, grinding machines, boring machines.
  • Machine strip downs and rebuilds
  • Planned and preventive maintenance
  • Mechanical installation including pipe fitting and machine moves
  • Electrical fault finding on both single and three-phase systems
  • Electrical installation work including panel building
  • Programming temperature PID controllers.
  • Perform safe isolation and lockout of equipment.
  • Create risk assessment/method statements before commencing work activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience working within a mechanical or electrical maintenance engineering environment.
  • Experience in performing repairs on CNC machines NDT machines, electro-plating machines or paint spraying machines.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems both single and three-phase.
  • Mechanical experience in maintaining plant equipment.
  • Experience undertaking general fabrication work (mechanical and electrical).
  • Able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical technical drawings.
  • Proven ability to fault find on electrical and mechanical systems.

Competencies:

  • Excellent analytical, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-versed in relevant software (e.g., CAD, MS Office, MS Project).
