Vehicle Maintenance Technician

Job Description:
South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team in Thanet. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of vehicles and specialist ambulance equipment to emergency use standards.
About the Role:
- Examine and inspect vehicle condition, roadworthiness, and safety to ensure compliance with statutory maintenance standards.
- Diagnose faults using computer diagnostic tools and communicate technical information to line managers, colleagues, and other staff.
- Service, maintain, adjust, or repair vehicles, equipment, or components as needed.
- Recover broken down or immobilized vehicles safely.
- Apply SECAmb policies regarding safety, maintenance practice, and standards.
- Account for parts and equipment used, and order parts from external suppliers.
- Complete required documentation and supervise apprentices and semi-skilled staff.

Requirements:
- Sound experience in vehicle maintenance and fault diagnosis.
- Experience applying company policies on safety and maintenance practice.
- Main dealer training provided.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays, with additional unsocial payment for unsocial hours worked. Estimated salary: £29,970 - £36,483 per annum.
