Accounts Assistant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team in Skelmersdale.

Job Details:
  • Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time
  • Location: Skelmersdale
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling purchase ledgers, supporting supplier queries, creating new supplier records on Sage, processing purchase and sales invoices, performing ad hoc duties, meeting month end report deadlines, and supporting wider accounts and Head Office functions.

Salary Information:

An excellent salary of £32,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time), paid weekly every Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and reconcile purchase ledgers
  2. Support supplier queries
  3. Create new supplier records on Sage
  4. Process purchase and sales invoices
  5. Perform ad hoc duties
  6. Meet month end report deadlines
  7. Support wider accounts and Head Office functions
Requirements:
  • 12 months experience in a similar role
  • IT literacy
  • Excel focus
