Key Responsibilities:
  • Set Sales Targets: Establish and communicate sales targets for branches and individuals, aligned with the company's growth strategy.
  • Monitor Performance: Regularly review and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address underperformance.
  • Coaching and Training: Provide coaching and training to sales teams to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve sales targets.
  • Branch Reviews: Conduct regular reviews of branches to ensure sales processes are compliant and professional.
  • Team Building: Plan and implement team-building initiatives to enhance team morale and motivation.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews of direct reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including credit, operations, compliance, and marketing teams.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in running sales teams in retail banking, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire sales teams, with a strong focus on coaching and development.
  • Business Development: Proven experience in business development and relationship management, with a strong understanding of the retail banking market.
  • Compliance: Understanding of UK compliance legislation, including AML and TCF, with experience of practical application.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present to internal and external audiences.
