Wildlife Conservation Specialist Lead

CHM Recruit is seeking an experienced Principal Ecologist to join their team in Norwich, Norfolk.
This role offers a competitive salary of £42,588 - £47,793 per annum, along with a generous pension contribution and comprehensive benefits package.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and inspiring a team of ecologists and arboricultural consultants to deliver high-quality work that meets client expectations.
This includes fostering excellent client relations, securing new contracts, and expanding the client base, as well as providing high-level oversight on diverse projects.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in ecology or a related field, membership of CIEEM, and relevant protected species licenses.
With five years' experience as a Senior Ecologist or Principal Ecologist, the candidate should have extensive knowledge of UK and EU wildlife legislation and policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing a team of ecologists and arboricultural consultants.
- Fostering excellent client relations and securing new contracts.
- Providing high-level oversight on diverse projects, including complex ecological assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Ensuring all projects comply with current legislation and best practice guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of delivering high-quality work, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
