Job Title: Young People Support Specialist

CV-Library is seeking a highly skilled Young People Support Specialist to join our team in the Birmingham area. This temporary, full-time position comes with a 37-hour workweek, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Youth Offending Court Team to fulfill statutory requirements under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and any subsequent legislation.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional who can undertake assessments to determine placement suitability for children and young people entering the secure estate, ensuring services align with Youth Justice Board expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake assessments to determine placement suitability for children and young people entering the secure estate.
  • Represent the Youth Offending Service within the Court setting and promote its aims.
  • Maintain high standards of interaction with the Court, adhering to Youth Offending Service principles.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with young offenders and their families.
  • Ability to meet the needs of diverse racial and cultural communities and young women.
  • Proficiency in report writing and producing high-quality court reports.

Salary Information

This role offers a competitive salary of £21 per hour, reflecting the importance of this position in supporting the Youth Offending Service's goals.
