About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician Consultant to join our team at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. As a key member of our Maternity Services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our obstetric services to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of obstetric services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of care and quality.
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical governance and audit initiatives, ensuring our services are safe, effective, and efficient.
  • Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless care and coordination for our patients.
Requirements
  • Medical Degree from a recognized medical school.
  • MRCOG or equivalent qualification.
  • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
  • Experience in obstetrics and gynecology, including leadership and management roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and lead junior staff.
