About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician Consultant to join our team at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. As a key member of our Maternity Services department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage antenatal clinics, elective Caesarean lists, and administrative duties
  • Participate in on-call duties for Obstetrics, sharing responsibilities with a team of 16 colleagues
  • Contribute to the development of our services, including audit and case presentations
  • Teach and train junior staff, medical students, and participate in continuing medical education (CME)
  • Ensure active participation in clinical governance and audit
Requirements
  • Medical Degree from a recognized medical school
  • MRCOG or equivalent
  • Experience in Obstetrics, including ATSM Advanced Labour Ward practice or equivalent
  • Ability to contribute to the development of the Trust and its services
  • Ability to manage and lead junior staff
