Your Role:
As a Field Care Supervisor, you'll work under the direction of the Field Care Manager or Care Planner and Branch Manager, implementing systems to ensure our domiciliary care service meets and exceeds legislative standards, and aligns with our company's equal opportunities and health & safety policy.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct domiciliary care risk and manual handling assessments on new clients/service users prior to providing a domiciliary care service.
- Maintain an effective quality assurance management system in consultation with the Field Care Manager or Care Planner and Branch Manager, based on outcomes for service users, with clearly defined and monitored standards and indicators.
- Meet with domiciliary care workers for direct supervision at least quarterly, keeping written records of each meeting's content and outcome.
- Assist the Field Care Manager or Care Planner and Branch Manager in delivering a care assistants' development and training program to ensure members can meet the changing needs of clients and service users.
- Participate in an on-call roster, providing and coordinating cover for unplanned absences to maintain the service.
Requirements:
- Experience supervising others in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey ideas.
- A valid UK driving license and access to a car are desirable, but other travel arrangements will be considered.
- Strong assessment skills.
- An office-based role with client visits, requiring the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
