Job Description:

  1. Conduct thorough fundamental analysis of distressed and liquid credit securities.">
  2. Evaluate financial statements, legal documentation, and industry trends to identify distressed situations and assess recovery prospects.">
  3. Monitor distressed credits and evaluate restructuring and workout scenarios to determine optimal investment strategies.">
  4. Generate investment recommendations and present findings to portfolio managers and investment committees.">
  5. Collaborate with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to implement investment strategies and manage portfolio risk.">
  6. Stay informed about market developments, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic trends that may impact distressed and liquid credit markets.">
  7. Build and maintain financial models to analyse cash flows, recoveries, and valuation metrics for distressed credit investments.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, CFA preferred.">
  • 3+ years experience in distressed debt analysis, liquid credit research, or related fields within the financial industry.">
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis techniques, financial modelling, and valuation methodologies.">
  • Knowledge of bankruptcy and restructuring processes, including legal frameworks and creditor rights.">
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.">
  • Proficiency in financial software and databases (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Excel) for data analysis and modelling.">
